CK Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse to join our team. As a Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse, you will work closely with assigned hospitals and centres to deliver holistic care to patients in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake clinical assessments of patients' needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure patients and/or carers are able to safely self-medicate relevant oncology medications.
- Provide ongoing support to patients through a combination of support programs, including telephone, clinic-based, and home visits.
- Assess patients' home environments to ensure they are suitable for home IV oncology treatment.
- Administer all IV oncology medications for patients undergoing IV cancer treatment.
- Check blood results and make decisions on whether critical levels are within safe parameters to continue with treatment.
- RGN part 1 NMC Register.
- Chemotherapy delivery qualification.
- Experience in administering oncology medication, either in hospital or community environment.
- Experience of undertaking clinical assessments and administering sub-cutaneous injections.
- Experience in the care of IV devices and administration of IV therapies.
- A basic salary of £38,640.
- Company car or car allowance.
- Private Healthcare cover.
- Professional Registrations paid for.
