About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Assessor/Trainer to join our academic staff in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing carpentry courses, ensuring alignment with industry expectations and curriculum goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-standard carpentry courses, aligned with curriculum objectives and industry standards.
  • Provide tailored training sessions and hands-on instruction, demonstrating best practices in carpentry and motivating students to achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with academic and vocational staff to maintain a cohesive learning experience, fostering strong relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, college policies, and quality assurance procedures.

Requirements:
  • A relevant qualification in Carpentry (Level 3 or above) and extensive experience as a Carpentry Assessor/Trainer in a post-16 or vocational education setting.
  • Current knowledge of carpentry industry standards and techniques, with a commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to engaging with students, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
