This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Charge Nurse in a secure mental health unit. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in the management of the ward, including the deployment, supervision, and teaching of staff and students.
You will be responsible for assessing individual care needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating programs of care. You will also take responsibility for the management, deployment, and supervision of junior staff in the unit.
Key Responsibilities- Take charge of a ward regularly and accept duties as delegated by the clinical ward manager
- Support the management of a ward, including the deployment, supervision, and teaching of staff and students
- Assess individual care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care
- Take responsibility for the management, deployment, and supervision of junior staff in the unit
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with Professional NMC Registration
- At least 2 years' experience in mental health nursing
- Clinical Supervision Training
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
We offer a competitive salary of £37,338 to £44,962 per annum, plus a forensic lead payment of £1,401 per annum. We also offer a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
