Job Opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at a leading healthcare provider in the Marchwood, Southampton area.

This hospital is renowned for its exceptional standards of care and specializes in the management and treatment of mental health problems, including eating disorders.

To be considered for this position, you must be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality care to patients, taking into account their individual needs and preferences.
  • Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care that reflects patient choice and wishes, acting as the named nurse for each patient.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and carers to ensure accurate information is shared.
  • Participate in quality improvement processes and clinical governance to maintain high standards of care.
  • Provide accurate information about care to patients and their families in an accessible format.
  • Act as the Nurse in Charge of the Ward, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Complete accurate notes and incident reports.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
  • Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, with proficiency in IT.
