About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and patient individual to join our team as a Digital Mentor. As a Digital Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping our community members build their digital confidence and skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one basic digital support to community members over the telephone, via video call, and in-person at our TechMates tea parties.
  • Help community members learn basic digital skills, such as using the internet, email, and everyday apps, communicating with friends and family online, staying safe online, and transacting online.
  • Work with community members to create documents and take and share photos.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to community members as they develop their digital skills.
Requirements
  • Good, basic computer or mobile device skills.
  • Confidence in using the internet, email, and everyday apps.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate people with low digital skills.
  • Patience to support people who are digital newbies.
