We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will work within the Projects team - Modernisations and Installations, coordinating activities, resources, and tasks related to specific projects, ensuring job costs are kept within quoted parameters, and providing progress reports to the Project Manager.

The role is based in the northwest of the UK and requires the successful candidate to be willing to travel and stay overnight as and when the project requires (accommodation and subsistence will be provided).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct project-related tasks independently and support the Project Manager in daily tasks and take responsibility in their absence.
  • Lead sub-projects under the supervision of the Project Manager.
  • Assist in the preparation of Safety Documentation (SSOW, SSA, RAMS, Lift Planning) Training to be provided as required.
  • Ensure the site team has all necessary resources to enable the project to be carried out successfully.
  • Meet with the project team (Technicians & Field Supervisors), ensuring that each team member understands their responsibilities and accountabilities.
  • Manage vendor relationships, relaying information between the project management and client.
  • Coordinate queries and escalate points of concern to appropriate stakeholders, monitoring resolution and updating all involved.
Requirements:
  • HNC / ONC Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Involvement in engineering projects.
  • IOSH qualified (preferred).
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Must be willing and able to travel (sometimes stay overnight) throughout the South District on an as-and-when basis.
  • IT skills such as MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt if problems occur.
