About the Role:

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, disabilities, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop tailored learning plans for students with SEN.
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students, promoting their academic and social development.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting concerns to teaching staff.
  • Collaborate with parents, specialists, and educational professionals to develop effective learning strategies.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and child protection in all interactions with students.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with children with SEN.
  • A relevant qualification in education or child development.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with students and staff.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new check.
