SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Bournemouth. As an SEN TA, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can fully engage with their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, adapting materials to suit individual needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, promoting inclusion and participation.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback to students and teachers.
  • Support students during break times and extracurricular activities, ensuring inclusion and safety.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an SEN TA is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
  • Passion for working with children with special educational needs.
