Programme Management Office Manager
The Housing and Environment directorate is undergoing significant transformation, addressing pressing challenges such as homelessness, housing regulation, and digital transformation. To effectively manage these changes, they require high-quality programme management that tracks delivery and robust performance against challenging targets.
To support this transformation, they are recruiting an experienced Programme Management Office Expert to lead their PMO and report to the Head of Strategy, Performance and Improvement. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and drive programme management, leveraging their technical skills and expertise to drive business-as-usual and major change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Programme Management Office, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise to project managers and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement programme management methodologies, tools, and standards to ensure effective delivery and performance.
- Coach and support project managers, aligning delivery with strategic goals and managing risks.
- Coordinate programme activities, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams.
- Significant experience in programme management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and programmes.
- Strong technical skills, including programme management methodologies, tools, and standards.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to think strategically, with a focus on business outcomes and performance improvement.
