The successful candidate will be joining the company at an exciting time, as they have a strategy to grow and expand their operations. The role involves assisting with large-scale projects with the company's customer base across the UK.
The primary goal of this role is to ensure projects, both in-house and on-site, are managed and organized in a cost-effective and safe manner. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively carry out these responsibilities and ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee orders from customers, ranging from supply-only to turnkey contracts, which involve design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
- Complete design engineering tasks from sales inputs or site measurements to prepare details for manufacturing and installation, meeting customer expectations.
- Conduct site visits to gather information, specifications, and measurements for projects. Produce Method Statements and risk assessments for repair/installation activities.
- Ensure efficient and controlled management of project work areas on-site.
- Act on instructions from the Operations department regarding order processing, labour allocation, rework load, and future orders.
- Implement policies and procedures for effective contract management.
- Collaborate with the sales department to ensure estimates of works are realized cost-effectively without compromising quality or safety.
- Adhere to and implement all Quality procedures and promote quality awareness and responsibility throughout the business.
- Review efficiency of site and manufacturing operations to ensure Quality, Cost, and Delivery schedules are met.
- Assist the sales team in preparing estimates, project specifications, and requirements.
- Proven track record in project and technical management.
- Experience in monitoring and controlling costs throughout contracts in real-time.
- 3 years of experience in Project/Technical Engineer or equivalent from an engineering fabrication industry.
- Mechanical understanding and solid manufacturing industry knowledge.
- Salary of up to £50,000
- Car allowance £6,000
