Job Title: Education Manager

About the Role:

The Education Manager will play a key role in developing and managing outreach education programs for Bedford Blues Foundation. This includes strategic planning, content development, and team management. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and line management skills, with a strong understanding of the education sector and alternative provisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of outreach education programs, ensuring alignment with the foundation's aims and objectives.
  • Manage a team of delivery staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner schools, ensuring program needs are met and objectives are achieved.
  • Manage contracts and relationships with schools and projects, ensuring smooth program delivery.
  • Develop sustainable business models to generate income through services and identify funding opportunities.
  • Lead monitoring and evaluation of outreach programs, compiling reports for funders with qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Represent the foundation and Bedford Blues brand, maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude and energy.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the education sector and alternative provisions.
  • Excellent line management skills, with experience in leadership and project management.
  • Ability to work independently, with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office and organizational skills.
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding and keeping young people safe, including risk assessments and pre-empting potential risks.

Working Environment:

  • This role is full-time, with predominantly office and field-based work, with some home working flexibility.
  • Responsibility to visit and travel to project sites, with some commitment outside of working hours.
