About the Role
We are seeking a friendly and approachable Meet and Greet Volunteer to join our team at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. As a Meet and Greet Volunteer, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, providing a warm and welcoming greeting and ensuring that all enquiries and requests are responded to.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and friendly greeting to patients, visitors, and staff
- Assist patients and visitors with directions and information about hospital facilities
- Escort patients and visitors to wards and departments
- Provide wheelchair assistance and support to patients with additional challenges
- Assist with self-check-in machines and car park machines
- Return unused wheelchairs to the main entrance
- Treat all information received with confidentiality
- Provide information about hospital facilities and services
Requirements
- Good communication and listening skills
- Ability to be on their feet for most of the shift
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- DBS check required
