About the Role

Ackerman Pierce Ltd is seeking an experienced Children's Service Commissioning Specialist to lead the commissioning of services for children and young people with SEND, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice.

The estimated salary for this role is £55.56 per hour umbrella based in Northeast London.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive needs assessments to inform commissioning decisions.
  2. Negotiate and monitor contracts with external providers to ensure effective delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of children, young people, and their families.
  3. Evaluate the impact of commissioned services through data analysis and feedback from service users, adapting and improving services as needed.
  4. Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure a joined-up approach to service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Experience in commissioning, contract management, or procurement within the SEND sector.
  2. Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and best practice in the UK.
  3. Ability to manage budgets, analyse data, and assess service effectiveness.
