Job Description

**Job Title:** Business Transformation Program Director

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly experienced Business Transformation Program Director to join our team at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation - SMBC Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery and implementation of the EMEA CPD Transformation initiative, ensuring that it is appropriately supported by governance and oversight.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Governance and Oversight:** Ensure that the transformation initiative is supported by robust governance and oversight, with associated progress, controls, decision-making, risk, and issue management.
  • **Management Information and Reporting:** Prepare and submit Management Information and Senior Management reports to the Management Board and, when required, regulatory reporting submissions.
  • **Departmental Strategy:** Partner with EMEA CPD Management to develop a consistent departmental strategy across EMEA, designed to effectively manage Compliance and Financial Crime risk.
  • **Stakeholder Management:** Coordinate with stakeholders across EMEA CPD to ensure timely and effective resolution of Monitoring and Surveillance, Audit, Operational Risk matters, and other internal or external findings.

**Requirements:**

  • **End-to-End Programme Management:** Proven experience in end-to-end programme management in Financial Crime or Compliance within a financial services organization, preferably banking.
  • **Regulatory Knowledge:** Knowledge of UK and EU Compliance and Financial Crime regulations, legislation, and industry best practice.
  • **Stakeholder Management:** Extensive stakeholder management experience, with a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement and management.
  • **Risk Management:** Experience in anticipating, identifying, and managing risks in programme delivery.
  • **Regulatory Examinations:** Experience of dealing with regulatory examinations.
