About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Liaison Specialist to join our Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion service, based in Coventry and Warwickshire. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with statutory and voluntary services to support vulnerable individuals, reducing the cycle of reoffending and promoting health gains.



Job Description:


The successful applicant will undertake holistic assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and liaising with stakeholders to meet unmet needs. You will work flexibly, encouraging innovation and collaboration within our multi-agency team.



Main Responsibilities:



  • Undertake comprehensive assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop effective care plans
  • Liaise with police, magistrates, probation, and other third sector services to ensure seamless coordination
  • Work autonomously, making informed decisions around patient care and risk assessment
  • Prioritize complex cases, providing tailored support to address social and mental health needs


Person Specification:


We are looking for an individual with a strong background in mental health, preferably as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker. Essential qualifications include a degree-level qualification and current professional registration.



Desirable Skills and Qualifications:



  • Experience working in mental health services, with a focus on liaison and diversion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Familiarity with police and court processes, including custody and sentencing procedures

Location:
