SEND Teaching Assistant

Leader Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at a mainstream primary school in Northumberland. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and experience working with children and young people.
The school prides itself on creating a happy, healthy, and inspiring environment for children to reach their full potential. The successful candidate will have:
- An enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Some experience working with non-verbal children or young people in an educational setting is desirable
- The ability to support the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
- A good understanding of safeguarding and ensuring the welfare of children
- A compassionate personality and values honesty, inclusivity, and respect
