Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a highly regarded SEN school in the North East. As an unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing classroom support and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers with lesson delivery, oversee pre-set lessons, and ensure students are engaged and completing their work to a high standard.
  • Behaviour Management: Maintain a constructive and positive classroom environment, manage student behaviour effectively, and de-escalate situations as needed while adhering to safeguarding procedures.
  • Lesson Follow-Up: Collect completed work and return it to the appropriate staff member, ensuring the classroom remains organized.
  • Safeguarding: Report any safeguarding concerns in line with the school's referral procedures and policies.
