Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join Blackwell Earthmoving Limited, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance on our Sizewell C project.

About the Role

This is a critical position that requires a dedicated professional to oversee the maintenance and improvement of our business systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality management regimes and substantial experience in managing quality systems on NEC contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain audits and inspections schedule.
  • Ensure ISO9001 and similar accreditations are upheld.
  • Manage document control within the project.
  • Develop and report key performance metrics.
  • Document key processes and procedures.
  • Own the project Non-conformance register.
  • Maintain Master ITPs/ITCs.
  • Train engineers on quality management systems.
  • Assist engineers with Master ITPs/ITCs.
  • Conduct audits and inspections for compliance.
  • Ensure timely sign-off of completed works.
  • Coordinate investigations and implement CARs.
  • Assist with training for engineers.
  • Develop the Project Lot Register and coordinate handover.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate must have a qualification in quality management or relevant experience. They should also possess a full understanding of external quality management regimes and substantial experience in managing quality systems on NEC contracts. An open, collaborative, and robust attitude to team working is essential, as well as the ability to command the respect of a peer group.

Compensation Package: We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
