This is an exciting new role within the NHS that offers an opportunity to progress within an operational capacity. We are seeking enthusiastic registered professionals who can undertake the role of Team Lead within the Mental Health Support Teams (MHST). This particular role is based within Mid Essex.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational and clinical leadership within the MHST, ensuring the team meets operational and clinical targets.
- Line manage clinical staff within the MHST, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Act as an autonomous professional, fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body (HCPC, NMC).
- Support the Operational Manager with day-to-day running of the service, including recruitment, sickness, and Healthroster management.
- Participate in the audit process, linking in with the clinical governance agenda.
- Advise, encourage, and share knowledge, utilizing the latest research and practice development, through literature and peer reviews.
- Ensure a high-quality, timely, accessible, and evidence-based service is available to all service users who need it and who use the MHST.
- Successful completion of a graduate training (nursing, social work, occupational therapy, clinical psychology) with appropriate registration of a professional body (HCPC, NMC).
- Further professional knowledge gained through accredited courses, workshops, study, and in-house training programs (CYP-IAPT training).
- Experience of working with children/young people with Mental Health or Learning Disabilities, providing specialist, evidence-based individual interventions.
- Experience in delivering evidence-based interventions (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, which will include mandatory training, systems training, and the allocation of equipment.
We continue to encourage all staff to ensure that they have been double vaccinated and received their booster. We recognize that taking the vaccine provides the best defence against COVID-19 for our patients, our staff, and their families.
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
