European Distribution Sales Specialist

Synthomer is a global leader in sustainable polymer solutions, with a strong presence in the European market. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Distribution Sales Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our distribution partners in Europe, working closely with the European Distribution Manager to drive sales growth and profitability. Key accountabilities will include leading sales activities for responsible accounts, growing opportunity pipelines, and ensuring distributors meet budget targets.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Joint visits with distributors to support business growth
  • Attendance at trade shows, conferences, and seminars to represent Synthomer and distribution partners
  • Quarterly review sessions with distributors to establish action plans for future quarters
  • Establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for distributors, identifying gaps in the European distribution network, and implementing solutions
  • Ensuring distributors adhere to Synthomer's distribution governance and best practices
  • Supporting the Head of Global Distribution with analysis of global distribution performance, highlighting gaps and areas for improvement
  • Preparing reports, budgets, and maintaining accurate records to measure productivity and goal achievement

To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 3 years' experience in the Specialty Chemicals space, with some experience managing distributors desirable. You should have a proven track record of driving growth, managing accounts to increase business profitability, and creating and executing structured growth plans. Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to marshal resources to support customers/distributors are essential.
