Teaching Assistant for SEND Students
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Liverpool.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 months experience working in an educational establishment, with strong behaviour management skills and knowledge of working with pupils with challenging behaviour.
About the Position:
- Support students on a one-to-one and small group basis with curriculum support and class-based activities
- Work closely with class teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Monitor student progress and report back to teachers and other stakeholders
Key Expectations:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment
- Strong behaviour management experience and knowledge of working with pupils with challenging behaviour
- Calm, patient, and caring attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
