Job Summary

We are looking for a Trust Fellow to join our Paediatric Surgery team, providing specialist paediatric surgical services to the Northern Region.

The successful candidate will support the provision of three elective operating lists and two outpatient sessions per week, as well as contributing to the department's teaching and training activities.

This post is based in the Department of Paediatric Surgery in the New Victoria Wing of the Royal Victoria Infirmary.

Main Responsibilities
  • Clinical duties include ward assessment and management of elective and emergency admissions.
  • Experience in neonatal surgical and intensive care unit.
  • Three elective operating lists and 2 outpatient sessions per week.
  • Effective communication with other members of the clinical team to ensure the planned management for each patient is carried out.
  • Communication with patients and their relatives, arranging investigations for patients and ensuring results are available in a timely manner.
Person Specification
  • Must hold full GMC registration at time of application.
  • MBBS or equivalent.
  • MRCS or equivalent.
Annual Salary: £61,825 - £70,425
