Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Department Manager to lead the delivery of all contracted service lines relating to the administration requirements of Service personnel. This full-time, permanent role is based in MOD Lyneham, where you will be responsible for managing and facilitating the delivery of personnel administration safely and efficiently within given timescales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and facilitate the delivery of personnel administration to meet all Statement of Requirement tasking, Audits, mitigating risk and the potential for service failure.
  • Oversee the management of Military HR Records, reports, allowances, pay and allowances, and leave advice, as well as Pay and allowances casework, Service Voter Scheme, Defence Travel, Public funds support, Appraisal co-ordination, Honours and Awards, and Maintenance of manpower records and documentation.

What We're Looking For: The successful candidate will be well-organised, precise, confident with credible communication skills, and able to contribute at any level. They will be versatile, intuitive, and professional with good judgement and absolute integrity, pro-active and persuasive when required, and responsive to changing needs of the business and demands of the customer, while remaining calm under pressure and self-motivated. A good standard of education, preferably to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent, is also desired.

Additional Requirements: MOD security clearance and DBS Standard are required, as well as proof of right to work in the UK. The Contract operates a 37.5 hour working week between the hours of and Mon to Fri only, and employees are required to wear approved company work wear. Enhanced terms cannot be honoured for internal job moves.
