Job Summary

Secure Services Vocational Specialist

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our innovative occupational therapy and acquired brain injury (ABI) team at Guild Lodge.

As a Technical Instructor, you will play a vital role in developing a clear vocational/educational pathway for ABI inpatients, identifying and establishing links within the hospital and wider community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing vocational/educational programs for ABI inpatients
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with community partners
  • Identifying and utilizing community resources to support vocational/educational opportunities

We offer a range of excellent environments and opportunities for service users, including a Therapeutic Resources Centre and Sports Hall, and the Tarnbrook Vocational Unit.

Requirements

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 in care or equivalent training
  • Ability to undertake Positive and Safe training
  • Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) or equivalent training

  • Experience working with people who experience mental health/learning/brain injury difficulties
