Job Title: Battery Development Technician

Element Materials Technology is seeking a skilled Battery Development Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will support the expansion of our battery testing business and contribute to the development of new battery engineering and testing services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the design, test planning, test setup, safety assessments, and testing of battery testing projects
  • Develop and implement new test setups for custom battery testing requests
  • Provide technical and engineering leadership to support the development of new technologies
  • Communicate project status and test results to customers, commercial team members, and management
  • Assist in the professional development, upskilling, and training of novice technicians and other engineers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in a science, engineering, or testing-related field
  • Knowledge of safely testing cells, batteries, modules, EV packs, and/or Electrical Energy Storage Systems
  • Experience using various software or similar programs for EV battery testing
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety, assessments, and safety system implementation and quality management systems
