We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will work closely with a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant on a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension at the client's discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver efficient dispensary operations and minimize dispensing losses.
- Ensure accurate handling and dispensing of all medicines, including NHS and private prescriptions.
- Comply with legal and professional requirements, as well as Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in the delivery of all pharmacy services as required.
- Provide safe and accurate advice on medicines, including over-the-counter medication, to customers and patients.
- Deliver all aspects of the Dispensing role, including ordering, labeling, dispensing, and endorsing with appropriate claims.
Requirements:
- A NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or Dispensing Assistant qualifications completed by a General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) accredited route.
- Experience working in a community pharmacy, ideally with experience using Pharmacy Manager software and working with an NHS Smartcard.
Important Notes:
- The successful candidate must be available to start work immediately or at short notice.
- The candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
- This role requires a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
