Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant Opportunity

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant on a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension at the client's discretion. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for pharmacy services, we encourage you to apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver efficient dispensary operations and minimize dispensing losses
  • Ensure accurate handling and dispensing of all medicines, including NHS and private prescriptions
  • Comply with legal and professional requirements, as well as Company Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assist in the delivery of all pharmacy services where applicable
  • Provide safe and accurate advice on medicines, including OTC medication as required
  • Deliver on all aspects of the Dispensing role, including ordering, labeling, dispensing, and endorsing with appropriate claims

Requirements:

  • NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or Dispensing Assistant qualifications completed by a GPhC accredited route
  • Experience working in a community pharmacy, ideally with experience using Pharmacy Manager software and working with an NHS Smartcard

Important Notes:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice
  • You should have the right to work in the U.K
  • This role requires a basic DBS
