Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant Opportunity

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant on a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension at the client's discretion. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver efficient dispensary operations and minimize dispensing losses.
  • Ensure accurate handling and dispensing of all medicines, including NHS and private prescriptions.
  • Comply with legal and professional requirements, as well as Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in the delivery of all pharmacy services where applicable.
  • Provide safe and accurate advice on medicines, including over-the-counter medication as required.
  • Deliver on all aspects of the Dispensing role, including ordering, labeling, dispensing, and endorsing with appropriate claims.

Requirements:

  • You will have a NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or Dispensing Assistant qualifications completed by a GPhC accredited route.
  • Experience of working in a community pharmacy, ideally with experience of using Pharmacy Manager software and working with an NHS Smartcard.

Important Notes:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the U.K.
  • This role requires a basic DBS.
