Job Overview

This role involves providing strategic financial leadership and technical advice to support key decision-making processes. As a Finance Business Partner, you will oversee critical areas such as closure of accounts, technical financial advice, treasury management, capital investment appraisal, budget preparation and management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Financial Services: Deliver expert support across critical areas, including closure of accounts, technical financial advice, treasury management, capital investment appraisal, and budget preparation and management.
  • Strategic Leadership & Collaboration: Manage, direct, and coordinate financial reports and information to support key decision-making processes. Deliver expert financial advice to Portfolio Holders, Directors, Assistant Chief Executives, and Chief Officers.
About You

We are looking for a fully qualified CCAB (e.g., CIPFA, ACA, ACCA) or CIMA professional with significant experience in a similar role within a local authority or public sector organisation. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in budget preparation, monitoring, and management, as well as strong knowledge of statutory financial reporting, treasury management, and capital accounting.
