Obstetric Anaesthesia Specialist Role at NHS

The estimated salary for this role is £83,764 - £108,614 per annum, based on experience.

As an Obstetric Anaesthesia Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert anaesthetic care to women undergoing obstetric procedures. You will work closely with the Obstetric team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

The post involves a significant amount of time spent on Labour Ward, covering elective Caesarean sections and ante-natal anaesthetic assessments. You will also be required to participate in clinical audit, teaching, and training of junior staff.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) or equivalent, with a CCT (or equivalent) and entry on the Specialist Register for Anaesthesia. You should also possess higher training in general, urological, and gynaecological surgery, as well as higher training in obstetric anaesthesia.
