Senior Anaesthetist

Estimated salary for this position is £83,764 - £108,614 per annum, depending on experience.

This is a full-time substantive post as an Anaesthetic Consultant at our busy hospital. As a Senior Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to patients undergoing obstetric procedures.

The post will have a major obstetric component, consisting of Labour Ward cover, Elective Caesarean Sections, and Ante-natal anaesthetic assessments. You will work closely with the Obstetric team to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.

You will be required to undertake teaching and training of medical and para-medical colleagues, as well as participate in clinical audit and continuing professional development.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaesthetist who can provide leadership and expertise in obstetric anaesthesia. The successful candidate will be a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) or equivalent, with a CCT (or equivalent) and entry on the Specialist Register for Anaesthesia.

Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years' experience in anaesthesia and a minimum of 1 year worked within the NHS. You should also possess higher training in general, urological, and gynaecological surgery, as well as higher training in obstetric anaesthesia.
