We are seeking a skilled Clinical Cardiology Professional to join our non-invasive team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work across Glenfield Hospital, Leicester General, and Hinckley hospital, developing their expertise in cardiac physiology.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Holter analysis and exercise tolerance testing to assess cardiac function
  2. Training junior staff in ECG recognition and interpretation
  3. Senior lead for our busy ECG clinic at Glenfield, overseeing various tasks including:
  • Electrocardiography (ECG) analysis and reporting
  • Application and issue of ambulatory cardiac monitors on adult and paediatric patients
  • Assistance with exercise tolerance tests and manual blood pressure measurements
To assist senior cardiac physiologists in day-to-day running of the ECG clinics and providing cover for junior staff members at Hinckley CDC and Leicester General CDCPerson Specification:Education:
Essential:
  • BSc in Healthcare science (Cardiac Physiology) or BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiology)
Desirable:
  • ILS certification
Experience:
Essential:
  • At least 3 years of academic and practical experience in cardiac physiology

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Flexible approach to working and ability to remain calm under pressure
Salary: £54,439 - £73,870 per annum (Band 7)
