Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at https://www.energyjobline.com/sitemap. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of trade operatives in a Social Housing setting, ensuring that repairs are undertaken safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of trade operatives to ensure that repairs are completed to a high standard, within specified timescales, and in compliance with Health and Safety policies.
  2. Hold regular performance meetings with team members, provide coaching and training, and assist with the development of your team.
  3. Provide technical advice, support, and guidance to operatives, and follow escalation procedures as needed.
  4. Conduct quality assessments and provide instructions to rectify any snagging, defects, or uncompleted works.
  5. Liaise with tenants to resolve issues and manage expectations regarding the scope of service provision.
  6. Assist with training and development for operatives, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
  7. Ensure all administrative work is carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
  1. Strong technical knowledge, preferably from a trade background (carpentry, plumbing, roofing, groundworks, decorating, etc).
  2. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  3. Ability to implement company policies and processes effectively.
  4. Good Excel/Outlook and general IT skills.
  5. Good commercial awareness and understanding of the impact of costs.
  6. Clean, manual, UK Driving License (essential).
  7. SSSTS or SMSTS Qualification.
