About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our Critical Facilities Maintenance team at NTT Global Data Centers EMEA UK ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and implementing the delivery of Facilities Maintenance services to our Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of mechanical vendors HVAC delivery, ensuring statutory and contractual deliverables are achieved within Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Authoring and oversight of mechanical Method of Procedure (MOP), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and End of Procedure (EOP) documents
  • Ensuring relevant Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) are provided by HVAC specialist vendors and are suitable and sufficient
  • Acting as a mechanical Competent Person (CP) and participating in AP11 and medic first aid training to become an Authorised Person (AP)
  • Providing technical oversight and support on all mechanical works and projects, including commissioning and witnessing of existing infrastructure upgrades and enhancements
  • Assisting with in-house training to operational colleagues to increase awareness and competencies in respect of mechanical/HVAC systems
Requirements
  • Industry or manufacturer training in HVAC, including cooling systems, evaporative cooling, pumps, and pressure systems
  • HNC level attainment of a relevant mechanical qualification
  • Demonstrable knowledge of water hygiene treatment regimes in line with L8/HSG274
  • IOSH Working Safely certification
  • Experience in mechanical/HVAC systems and general understanding of Data Center mechanical systems and building services
  • Good numerical and literacy skills, high levels of computer literacy, and excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with good relationship building and self-motivation
  • A full clean driving license valid for use in the UK and willingness to undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019
