About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Client Asset Manager to lead our team in London and ensure the firm's compliance with its obligations under the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Client Asset Money regime (CASS) and similar regulations imposed by other regulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Manage the Client Asset Team in the UK, providing services to Group entities in other jurisdictions.
  • CASS Compliance: Ensure the firm's compliance with CASS regulations, including CASS 6, 7, and 8.
  • Controlled Function: Assume Controlled Function responsibilities for CASS and work alongside the Senior Management Function (SMF).
  • Client Asset Management: Assist in the day-to-day management of client assets throughout the group.
  • CASS Audit: Assist with the annual CASS audit, liaise with the auditor, and manage the audit process.
  • Product Development: Assist in the interpretation of CASS requirements with respect to new investment products and services.
  • Operational Process: Work closely with the Compliance, Business Intelligence, and Operations teams to ensure robust CASS controls are in place.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • CASS Knowledge: Detailed understanding of CASS rules, specifically CASS 6, 7, and 8.
  • Team Management: Experience of managing a team and developing team members.
  • CASS Function: Prior working experience in a CASS function at an investment management firm.
  • Financial Markets: Good working knowledge of financial markets and related products.
  • Operational Cash Management: Demonstrate a good working knowledge of operational cash management and reconciliations.
  • IT Competence: IT competent, particularly MS Office (Advanced Excel and Word).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail.
  • Communication: Ability to work independently and within a team environment, confident communicator.
  • Accounting and Reconciliations: Good understanding of accounting and reconciliations.
  • Autorek: Autorek user/implementation experience desired.
