Job Title: Senior Sexual Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sexual Health Nurse to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a Senior Sexual Health Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex sexual health needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in sexual health nursing, with experience in GUM and HIV services. You will be responsible for providing specialist nursing advice and support to clients, as well as leading nurse-led clinics and developing your skills in sexual health and contraception.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist nursing advice and support to clients using/attending the integrated sexual health and HIV clinics
  • Lead nurse-led clinics and develop your skills in sexual health and contraception
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive client-centered care
  • Network with relevant agencies to promote partnership working, education, and health promotion
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualifications:

  • NMC Registered Adult Nurse (General), Associate member or Diplomate of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health Care
  • Recognised qualification or equivalent experience working at Band 5 level minimum in areas of relevance
  • Highly developed skill demonstrating dexterity and precision for insertion of implants
  • Proven ability of day-to-day running of a Department, including allocation and management of staff
