Job Title: Senior Sexual Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sexual Health Nurse to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a Senior Sexual Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex sexual health needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing specialist nursing advice and support to clients using our integrated sexual health and HIV clinics
  • Delivering comprehensive client-centered services, including health promotion, health checks, and other relevant services
  • Working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Liaising with relevant agencies to promote partnership working, education, and health promotion
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • NMC Registered Adult Nurse (General) or Associate member of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health Care
  • Recognized qualification or equivalent experience working at Band 5 level minimum in areas of relevance
  • Highly developed skills in insertion of implants, venepuncture, POCT, wart treatment, and use of a microscope
  • Proven ability to run a department, including allocation and management of staff, supervisory skills, and presentation skills
