Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified or soon-to-be qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team in Reading. This is a rare opportunity to work in a well-established rotation role, offering a mixed Occupational Therapy rotation and the chance to gain experience in various teams.

Main Duties
  • Participate in the band 5 rotation, rotating every 8 months following discussion with line manager and Occupational Therapy professional lead.
  • Plan and organise a designated caseload of patients and their own professional activities under the supervision of a senior qualified Therapist.
  • Work with patients and carers to identify therapy goals using standardised and non-standardised assessment tools to assess their skill deficits and occupational needs.
  • Monitor, evaluate and modify treatment interventions to measure progress and ensure effectiveness.
  • Contribute specific Occupational Therapy knowledge and skills to the multi-professional team.
  • Participate in supervision of junior staff and students as required.

Requirements
  • Professional qualification or degree in Occupational Therapy with HCPC registration.
  • A commitment and passion to deliver high-quality care in mental health and physical health settings.
  • An ability to be flexible and work creatively in accordance with service needs.
  • Access to a car and ability to travel to patients' homes across Reading.
