About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Team Member to join our team at Paris Baguette. As a key member of our pastry team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality cakes, pastries, and desserts that meet our standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of store operation plans by gathering information and analyzing data
  • Help administer new product launches, promotions, and seasonal events
  • Order merchandise and ingredients
  • Conduct daily and weekly inventory counts
  • Learn and understand all company policies and provide guidance to employees
  • Support the manager in delivering company-wide communications to employees
  • Responsible for scaling, decorating, and producing all desserts, pastries, and cakes
  • Have good knowledge of production methods and organization of confectionary production
  • Learn new products and skills and demonstrate proper techniques to new pastry team members
  • Maintain sanitization procedures and keep the work station clean
  • Manage time and skills with strong organization
  • Have knowledge of all recipes and procedures of all production
  • Ensure cake displays are presentable for internal and external guests
  • Make creams and sauces for cakes and pastries
  • Receive, stock, and store food in designated containers and storage areas
  • Inform the General Manager when equipment is not working properly and manage food supplies

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of food handling experience
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Proficient in Point of Sale systems, currently Toast
  • Flexible, adaptive, and open management style
  • Passion for people and a dynamic leadership style
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to work with diverse teams
  • Team player who fosters a collaborative and engaged teamwork environment
  • Knowledge of food producing process, sanitization, quality program, and food safety protocols
