We are seeking a compassionate and supportive individual to join our team as a Domestic Abuse Support Specialist in Rochdale. As a Domestic Abuse Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse
  • Assess and implement risk assessments to ensure the safety of clients
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet the needs of clients
  • Work closely with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support network for clients
  • Provide education and awareness about domestic abuse and its effects

Requirements:

  • Be over the age of 18 to apply
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Be a UK resident
  • Have a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (if applicable)
  • Prior experience in domestic abuse support or equivalent qualification desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and basic knowledge of the sector
  • An extensive understanding of individuals and families who have, or are experiencing domestic abuse
  • Knowledge of assessing and implementing risk assessments
  • Computer literacy skills
  • A genuine passion for working in support
