About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Justice Social Work Groupwork Services Team as a qualified Social Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating groupwork programs for men convicted of sexual offences and domestic abuse, as well as writing justice social work reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate groupwork programs for men convicted of sexual offences and domestic abuse
  • Write justice social work reports for men convicted of sexual offences
  • Work collaboratively with Police Scotland and Social Work colleagues to undertake risk assessments and associated liaison tasks
  • Embed trauma-informed approaches in practice
  • Prepare reports for Scottish Courts Service, MAPPA, and MARAC

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with an interest in domestic abuse and sexual offending
  • Experience of groupwork programs and risk assessment tools
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies
  • Willingness to receive constructive feedback on practice
