About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Safety Case Engineer to join our team in Birchwood Park. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality nuclear safety cases and assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and shape the delivery of integrated nuclear safety cases and underpinning assessments, ensuring they meet quality, schedule, and cost expectations.
  • Develop and implement effective nuclear hazard management strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct hazard identification studies on design projects and operational facilities, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Proactively identify and share lessons learned within and external to safety cases, driving continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
  • Support the provision of assurance arrangements, such as design reviews and project committees.
Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of safety case processes and methodologies.
  • Experience in leading and delivering proportionate nuclear safety assessments and advice.
  • Ability to apply safety case processes and tools effectively, influencing and leading nuclear safety professionals.
