Pathology Quality Officer

Job Summary
North West London Pathology is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our Quality and Governance team as a Pathology Quality Officer. The successful candidate will have a strong background in laboratory quality management and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities
The Pathology Quality Officer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of laboratory services across all sites, including Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, West Middlesex University Hospital, and The Hillingdon Hospital. This will involve working closely with laboratory teams to identify and implement quality improvements, conducting risk assessments, and investigating incidents and non-conformities.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of specialist subjects in relevant disciplines and experience of using pathology computer systems. They will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in a biological science, with a good understanding of quality management principles and practices. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with laboratory teams and other stakeholders.
