Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our well-established therapy team in the Savernake ward at Savernake Community Hospital.

The ideal candidate will have relevant NVQ Level 3 in health care or equivalent qualification, with knowledge of general rehabilitation principles and an awareness of group work and dementia care.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting registered staff in assessment and therapy tasks, moving, treating, and communicating with patients in accordance with the therapy plan.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team in a community hospital inpatient ward, providing support and treatment to individuals with a wide range of conditions.
  • Assist registered staff in assessment and therapy tasks, including implementing treatment plans agreed with the registered therapy staff.
  • Train and educate patients, carers, and families under the direction of registered staff.
Requirements:
  • Relevant NVQ Level 3 in health care or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of general rehabilitation principles.
  • Awareness of group work and dementia care.
  • Experience of working in an inpatient setting.
  • Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving license.
