Purpose
To work as part of a team providing hands-on support and training to adults with disabilities participating in the Shaw Trust service. You will deliver daily supervision and support to vulnerable adults with learning disabilities to gain skills in grounds maintenance and horticulture (practical and theoretical).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver daily supervision and support to adults with learning disabilities in a grounds maintenance and horticulture setting.
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Support adults with learning disabilities to achieve their personal outcomes and goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including service users, families, and external partners.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service plans and strategies.
Requirements
- Working towards (or willingness to work towards) NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of computer software packages, particularly those in the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Working towards or willingness to work towards Health & Social Care Level 2 and TSI (Training in Systematic Instruction).
- Experience working in a developmental role, supporting adults with learning disabilities.
