Job Summary
The Deputy Headteacher will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction of our school, working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to drive excellence in teaching and learning. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives.

About the Role
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in educational leadership, with expertise in curriculum development, staff management, and student assessment. They will be responsible for leading and managing a team of teachers, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning practices across all subjects and phases. Additionally, they will work closely with the Headteacher to establish and sustain a culture of academic excellence within the school.

Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary package of £58,000 - £65,500 per annum, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to professional development opportunities, health insurance, and a generous pension scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning practices
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans to meet the needs of students
  • Conduct regular staff appraisals and provide coaching and support to improve performance
  • Collaborate with the Headteacher to establish and sustain a culture of academic excellence
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
  • A Master's degree in Education or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in educational leadership, preferably in a secondary school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Proven expertise in curriculum development, staff management, and student assessment
  • A deep understanding of educational theories and best practices
