We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Design Engineer to join our team at Avove Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the mechanical design content of water industry projects, leading a multi-disciplinary design team and working under hybrid working arrangements.

The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of sewage and clean water processes, the ability to develop good practical engineering solutions and a team player who can manage a design from start to finish. Other key responsibilities include leading numerous projects simultaneously, travelling with occasional overnight stays and having a driving license.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery of the mechanical design content of water industry projects
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary design team
  • Managing projects, resources and budgets
  • Effective management and response of project-related correspondence
  • Complete performance appraisals for assigned staff and provide development opportunities
  • Awareness of new technologies, industry and process innovation that can be used on projects
Requirements
  • Ability to produce, check and approve detailed mechanical design outputs for complex plant
  • Excellent working knowledge of sewage and clean water processes
  • Ability to develop good practical engineering solutions
  • Good knowledge of civil and electrical works would be beneficial
  • Ability to lead numerous projects simultaneously
  • Team player and communicator who can manage a design from start to finish
  • Willing to travel with occasional overnight stays
  • Must have a driving license
