Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our Structured Rates Trading team in London. As a key member of our Group Risk Management team, you will be responsible for providing independent and effective on-site monitoring, controlling, and reporting on the nature and extent of all material market risk of the RBC trading business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of SRT's limit framework and contribute to its enhancement where required.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all key risk metrics, serving as the primary point of contact for daily reporting processes.
  • Perform day-to-day analysis of the SRT risk profile, clearly communicating new business activity, evolving portfolio risk dynamics, and major market developments to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the trading business to stay informed on hedging strategies and new business developments, while maintaining regular interaction with the team.
  • Assist in streamlining daily reporting tasks and contribute to the transition towards strategic risk reporting systems.
Requirements
  • Substantial market risk experience with a good understanding of sound risk management principles.
  • Practical experience with options and non-linear derivatives, with a strong knowledge of their risk profiles and Greeks.
  • Experience with regular front office interaction and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Very good understanding of Value-at-Risk and stress testing, with the required market knowledge to articulate the results of scenario analysis.
