We are seeking a highly skilled Avionic Design Engineer to join our Bournemouth-based team at KDC Resource. As an Avionic Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design activities associated with avionic modifications, installations, and structural repair schemes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and clear technical queries related to avionic design
- Capture and document data and requirements for avionic projects
- Develop and modify 3D models from conceptual designs to detailed design for manufacture (DFM)
- Create 2D drawings as required for avionic design
- Liaise with customer design teams and other departments, including manufacturing and tooling
- Ensure adherence to quality processes for checking and validating all work
- Participate in design reviews, including tracking and closure of actions
- Perform clash detection analysis and reporting
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering, or similar, or relevant experience in lieu thereof
- Previous experience in an aerospace, defence, or high-tech sector design role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
