The Avionic Workshop Electrical Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Workshop Team Leader in overseeing Part-145 C-rated electrical/avionic maintenance activities and Part-21 Electrical/Electronic manufacturing tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective delivery of customer contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

To maintain the overall performance of the Avionic Workshop, the successful candidate will:

  1. Safety, Quality & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Promote a 'Just Culture': Foster an environment where safety and reporting of occurrences are prioritized.
  3. Liaise with departments: Collaborate with Design, Quality, Engineering Control, Logistics, Aircraft Maintenance to achieve project delivery.
  4. Certification of components: Certify electro/mechanical components within the scope of authorisations held under Part 145/ISO.
  5. Certification of manufacturing: Certify Part 21 manufacturing within the scope of authorisations held.
  6. Support Engineering Control: Assist in developing route master documents for component rework as a subject matter expert.
  7. Highlight tooling requirements: Identify tooling needs and assist in preparing business cases for procurement.
  8. Ensure test equipment: Ensure all test and ground support equipment is in a serviceable/calibrated condition.
  9. Coordinate engineering activities: Enable the team to complete tasks to target and within budget.
  10. Maintain a clean workspace: Ensure areas under supervision are always kept clean and tidy.
  11. Evaluate standards and procedures: Continuously improve and refine existing standards, practices, and procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience: Previous experience within aircraft maintenance Base/Workshops is desirable.
  2. Apprenticeship or HM Forces equivalent: Hold an apprenticeship or HM Forces equivalent training certification.
  3. Aviation facility experience: Previous working experience within an Aviation facility.
  4. Regulatory knowledge: Extensive knowledge of Regulatory requirements related to aircraft maintenance is essential.
  5. Project management skills: Proven ability to work and deliver to time pressure and deadlines using basic project management skills.

Security clearance: Security cleared to meet current UK and ITAR requirements in support of the business.
